NOTICE YOU MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO TAKE THIS COURSE ONLINE!
 

In addition to completing this course online, you MUST come in person to our location to take a final test and pay for the program. The MVA will not be notified of your completion of the course until you come in to take your final and pay.

 • You will be directed to a registration page when you click on the link below. Once you have registered successfully, you will be taken to the online program. You will be required to read through a series of modules. There will be a quiz at the end of each module that you must pass with a score of 80% or higher. If you do not pass with a score of 80%, you will be immediately redirected to the class module to pick up where you left off, you will have to log back in with your license number and password that you chose at registration.

 • Upon successful completion of the online program, you will have the opportunity to print out your certificate of completion. This is not an MVA document. The certificate of completion is simply a voucher proving that you successfully completed the online portion of the program.

 • To complete this process, you must present the following in person..
 
      1. Photo ID (MD License, Passport, MD I.D.)

      2. DIP/PSC referral letter

      3. Sixty Dollars ($60.00)

      4. Certificate of Completion (Printed Certificate at the end of the program)

Completion of the course will be reported to the MVA on the day that you come in to take the final test and pay for the program. The date of completion will be posted directly to your driving record.

The Driver Improvement Program (DIP) is a 6-8 hour instructional program that is intended to provide driver rehabilitation. You may have been assigned to the driver improvement program for one of the following reasons:

• You were referred by a district court judge;

• You were referred by an administrative law judge in the office of administrative hearings (OAH)

• You were cited for a moving violation while holding a provisional driver's license; or,

• You failed to attend a point system conference (PSC) required by the MVA.

Please note that if you miss your DIP Due Date, your license will be suspended and it is unlawful for you to drive a motor vehicle. The dates will appear as follows on your MVA letter:

NOTICE DATE: 07/01/2007

PSC DUE DATE: 07/31/2007

DIP DUE DATE: 08/31/2007

SUSPENSION DATE: 09/01/2007

Be aware that tests at the designated testing site must be taken by your due date.
